Butterflies in my brain.
Every single night I endure the flight
Of little wings of white flamed
Butterflies in my brain
These ideas of mine
Percolate the mind
Trickle down the spine
Form the belly, swelling to a blaze
That's where the pain comes in
Like a second skeleton
Trying to fit beneath the skin
I cant get the feelings in
Every single nights alight with my brain

Dogs Today magazine feature - This months issue!
I'm featured in this months issue of Dogs Today magazine. Which you can buy in shops such as Tesco, Waitrose, WH SMITHS, Sainsburys etc. They kindly featured my Drawing for Dogs project!
I have now raised £1260 so far! Which is mega overwhelming and I actually had to close the shop for a while, whilst I caught up on orders (especially after getting ill, worst timing ever!), any orders that are still waiting, a big chunk will be going out this weekend, and the rest the week after. Any orders placed from today (YES it is now open again for orders!), may take up to 3-4 weeks, so should arrive in time for Christmas! I'm really sorry for the delay on any of the orders but hopefully you can all understand! I'm almost there :)
I have drawn over 80 dogs so far, it is crazy. I cannot wait to put them together in some way or another. Dog lovers will be impressed!

Dogs and Hospitals
Hello! Here is Poppy helping me with my emails!
Last week I had a brutal kidney infection, which ended up with me being admitted to hospital for a few days. Not the best. They were worried it was my appendix so prepared me for surgery, thankfully it wasn't but they are still testing me for other things.
Luckily, I am out now and have lots and lots of dogs to draw for the Battersea Drawing for Dogs project. I have raised nearly £1000 now! Which is amazing! Thank you so much everybody!
If you are waiting on a drawing, I am a few days behind, due to the hideous timing of last weeks events. But everyone's drawings will be done and sent out asap! I'm trying very hard to get them done within 10-14 days of order placed like it says in the shop. Please bear with me if it's sent a few days over this time as I'm only one person and do have a full time job too. I shall email everyone once the order has been sent :)
Thanks again for everyone's support to the project, we have raised SO MUCH! The project ends in December so it will be amazing to see how much can be raised. I am hoping I can make some giant illustrated dog shaped cheque to give them the money on!

Drawing dogs for Battersea!
So far I have raised £140 for Battersea Dogs & Cats Home. Above are various pooches I have drawn for generous people! You you get your own drawing here at www.drawingfordogs.bigcartel.com and help me get to my target of £300! (OR MORE!) I am going to do this until December so I can raise as much money as possible in the run up to Christmas!
Today I also got a letter from Battersea Dogs & Cats Home saying they have seen my project and that the dogs and cats say thank you :') So sweet! If you do like dogs and cats, please help more of them find a happy home and be looked after by donating and getting your own doggy portrait in return!
You can see my justgiving page here to keep up with what i've raised: http://www.justgiving.com/drawingfordogs

The Character Map - Write Around Town
A creative writing map that I just finished, based on the idea of developing characters.
"The Writing Maps are devised by Shaun Levin, creator of the Write Around Town Writing Workshops. Shaun has been running workshops and courses in art galleries, zoos, cemeteries, restaurants, cafes, parks, boats, and in more traditional settings for the past twenty years. Bringing his love of writing outdoors and in surprising ways, he has been working with a wide range of illustrators to create Writing Maps, a radical new way to inspire writers."
You can read more about the project at www.writearoundtown.com

Drawing For Dogs
I love dogs a lot, so I thought what better way to raise money for these furry friends than by drawing them for you.
£10 from each drawing will be donated to Battersea Dogs and Cats Home to help the charity carry on their good work looking after the animals and continue helping find new homes for these abandoned pets! The other £2 will cover shop fees and materials. This is a not for profit project.
I hope you like the drawings and want to help in supporting lots of cute dogs!
To purchase a dog drawing to donate to Battersea Dogs and Cats Home please visit drawingfordogs.bigcartel.com to order your drawing!
£11 equips a new kennel with a bowl, a blanket to keep the dogs warm and cosy and a toy to play with. £5 a month helps to care for dogs in Battersea's new kennels.
You can see how much I have raised by visiting my JustGiving page here: http://www.justgiving.com/drawingfordogs

The Devil and Daniel Johnston
If you have never heard of Daniel Johnston then please do watch the documentary "The Devil and Daniel Johnston", it is beautiful, sad and amazingly inspiring. I have loved his music for a while and also his amazing art work. I am going to see him next month and am very EXCITED.
"Daniel has been in and out of mental hospitals over the years and yet has been able to grow and maintain a steady audience for his music and art due to the purity of his work and the raw and unfiltered emotion he relays to his audiences. And, clearly, also due to some people in his life that love him, believe in him, and have worked tirelessly on his behalf." - Raising Bipolar
